The Organizers of CHINACOAT and SFCHINA series of exhibitions (Hereafter referred to as “We”, “Us” and “Our”) take individuals’ privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy Statement explains our policies and practices in more details, and applies to information collection and use including but not limited to while you are visiting and using our Exhibition’s Website.
We respect your privacy and we promise:
- To implement computer, physical and procedural safeguards to protect the security and confidentiality of the personal data we collect;
- To limit the personal data collected to the minimum amount required to provide services requested by you;
- To permit only our properly trained, authorized employees to access personal data;
- Not to disclose your personal data to external parties unless you have agreed, we are required by law or we have previously informed you.
Information Collection
In order to provide better services to you, we may, in the course of and in relation to the provision of our services or products, collect and process the following information about you:
- Information (Such as your name, company name, company address, mobile number, email address, nature of business of your company, etc.) when you register with us, use our services, attend our activities or communicate with us;
- In connection with an account sign-in facility, your login user name and password details;
- The contents of any communications you send to us, for example, to report a problem or to submit queries, concerns or comments regarding the Exhibition’s Website or its online contents; or information you submitted via survey.
The provision of personal data by you is necessary in order for us to provide you with the requested services and for us to perform our contractual obligations (if any) to you. If you do not supply such data, we may be unable to provide the requested services.
We only retain personal data for so long as it is necessary for the fulfilment of the purpose (Including any directly related purpose) for which data is or is to be used.
In addition, when you browse the Exhibition’s Website, we will collect the basic technical information that your browser sends to the Exhibition’s Website, such as browser type and language, access time, address of the website you previously visited before visiting our Website, your Internet Protocol (IP) address, or click stream data within our Website (i.e. the actions taken in connection with our Exhibition’s Website) etc. We collect such technical information during your visit to the Exhibition’s Website through our automatic data collection tools, which may include cookies and other commonly used technologies. We collect such data solely for the purpose of improving the functionality of the Exhibition’s Website. Further information on cookies is set out below.
Use of Information
Marketing
We may use your personal information to send you newsletters, offers or other marketing communications to keep you up to date with our news, events and products that may be of interest. Depending on the nature of your interactions with us and applicable data protection laws, you may have actively given us your consent (i.e. opted in) or we may be entitled to rely on your implied consent or legitimate interests to market to you. We may share your details with third party partners. The third party partner’s use of your details will be in accordance with the notice provided and its own privacy policy and is not covered by this Privacy Policy.
Mobile Applications and Website Analytics
We may combine visitor registration information or other information collected through tracking technologies with personally identifiable information to understand and analyse your online experiences and determine which events, products and / or services are likely to be of interest to you.
Where you consent to the use of your location data, certain mobile applications may use location data to assist you to navigate around events and bring exhibitors’ information to your attention whilst you are using our Exhibition’s Website.
Our marketing related emails contain a single, campaign-unique “Web Beacon Pixel” to identify whether emails are opened and, combined with other technologies, to verify any clicks through to links within the emails. We may use this information collected for purposes including determining which emails are of more interest to you and to query whether users who do not open our emails wish to continue receiving them. The pixel will be deleted when you delete the emails.
Disclosure
We will keep the personal data we hold confidential but may provide your personal data to:
- Personnel, agents, advisers, auditors, contractors and service providers in connection with our operations or services;
- Our offices in China, affiliates, business partners and other trade promotion organizations;
- Persons to whom we are required to make disclosure under applicable laws in or outside Hong Kong SAR.

We use cookies to find out more about the use of our Exhibition’s Website and user preferences to improve our services. We may provide summarized traffic data to exhibitors / sponsors. We note traffic, pages visited and time spent. We may link the information to you, so that you may receive information more suited to your interests.

If you elect to block these cookies, you may not be able to take full advantage of the features and functions of the Exhibition’s Website. Security
Personal data stored electronically are password-protected. Encryption technology is used on our secured web areas. Our Exhibition’s Website’s systems are placed in restricted areas. We only permit authorized employees to access personal data. These employees are trained on our privacy policies.

The Exhibition’s Website contains links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these other linked websites and do not accept any liability in connection with their contents. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of each third party site linked from this website to determine its use of your personal information.
Data Retention
We only retain personal data for so long as it is necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose for which the data is used. Generally, we retain registration and contractual data for a period of seven (7) years following the conclusion of the event or the termination of the service to comply with tax, audit, and legal limitation periods in Hong Kong SAR.
Children’s Privacy
Our services and the Exhibition’s Website are intended for professionals and individuals of legal age. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a minor without verified parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.

To keep up with changing legislation, best practices and changes in how we process personal information, we may revise this Privacy Policy at any time without notice by posting a revised version on this website directly.
